It's hard to believe 2023 is winding down, but 2024 will be here before you know it. Every October, Benjamin Moore releases a Color of the Year and Color Trends Palette full of exciting color ideas to kick off the new year. This year, the honor of Color of the Year goes to Blue Nova 825, and we can't wait to share this moody blue with you.

Bold color has been the name of the game for the past two years. Last year, we enjoyed the bright and bubbly Raspberry Blush 2008-30 that added excitement and fun to our homes' trim and accent walls. You may be thinking, "Blue Nova? Ugh, blue is so boring and basic!" but we can assure you this combination of blue and violet is anything but.
Blue Nova 825 Around the House
Blue Nova 825 is deep, dramatic, and sumptuous. It invites you to be daring and step outside your usual color routine. You can use it in various spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and dining rooms. Use Blue Nova 825 in semi-gloss on kitchen cabinets to give your kitchen a cozy, welcoming vibe.
Blue Nova 825 Complementary Shades
Since Blue Nova is a heavy-hitter of a hue, its complementary colors are a bit more subtle.

If you aren't trying to make a statement, try pairing Blue Nova 825 with the clean, classic appeal of White Dove OC-17 or the softer off-white with dusty pink undertones of Pristine OC-75. Combine Blue Nova 825 with the mid-tone violet of Hazy Lilac 2116-40 to create a moody appeal in any space. Teacup Rose 2170-50 is a quaint combination of pink and coral that offers pastel charm with a mature touch.
The Color Trends Palette 2024 also includes colors that can take centerstage without sweat. Pair Regent Green, a deep green that comes precariously close to black, with Jack O'Lantern 2156-30 for a pop that's perfect for fall but has the staying power for year-round enjoyment.
